Mayurasana is the best pose for digestive disorders. Hamsasana is a prep to it where the legs step back behind and one is balanced upon their elbows.
It is necessary to relax in this pose, take ones time to grow into it. It is not a struggle or a work out what so ever. To turn it into a strength building press is going to cause damage to the person doing it.
One must have an empty belly prior to doing this pose. To do it with any food in the digestive tract will destroy your digestion.
The wrists must be opened before attempting this pose. At the beginning you can see the spiral I use to rotate through the wrist.
This opening of the wrist is what opens the shoulders and neck. It is utter stupidity to push ahead of what one is able to do and will only create injury.
